Celebrities rumoured to be on ITV's I'm A Celebrity 2026 as huge star set to be ‘biggest signing ever’

As the cold nights draw in there's plenty of TV to keep us entertained in the UK, with I'm A Celebrity sure to be one of the biggest talking points in the office from November onwards.

And this year, it seems as if ITV have really pushed the boat out with some of the names rumoured to be joining Ant and Dec in Australia, with reports suggesting they might have their biggest name in history.

While we've seen the likes of Matt Hancock and Nigel Farage join the show in recent years, with both politicians unsurprisingly nominated for nearly every challenge, we've also seen the show branch out into the world of sport, with the likes of Jill Scott and Mo Farah both proving popular in recent years, while Harry Redknapp was of course named King of the Jungle.

But now the rumours are that ITV have paid big money to bring former Manchester United and England star Wayne Rooney to the jungle, after his wife Colleen came second on the 24th series.

Rooney could become a multi-million pound signing for probably the fifth time in his life, which very few contestants before him can probably claim.

Wayne is clearly not too happy with his former side's start to the Premier League season as he's seemingly signed up to a few weeks in Australia to avoid watching them, even if it means chowing down on some kangaroo testicles or spending some time with big spiders and snakes.

An insider told The Sun on Sunday: "Wayne is in advanced talks for I’m A Celebrity and if they secure him, he’ll be their biggest signing in the show’s history. ITV have been in negotiations with him for some time and are thrilled that they’ve reached this stage.

"Wayne wants to show their sons what their dad can do and has joked he’ll be giving Coleen a run for her money.

"He is really competitive and hates losing so will give I’m A Celebrity his all."

Although it is just speculation at this point and an ITV spokesperson refused to confirm any names, the rumours are usually fairly accurate and a few other celebrities will likely already be packing their bags before heading down under.

According to The Sun, Kaiser Chiefs frontman Ricky Wilson has agreed to take part in this year's I'm A Celeb, and he could be joined by fellow musician Su-Elise Nash, of Mis-Teeq.

I'm a Celeb look to be going heavy on the sporting front this year as Christopher Dean of Torvill and Dean is another name rumoured, as well as former England cricket captain Ben Stokes.

Presenters Ade Adepitan and AJ Odudu could also be heading to the jungle, with Diversity dancer Perri Kiely and former Strictly Come Dancing star Nadiya Bychkova also reportedly on the shortlist.

We could also see the return of Olivia Attwood after she was included in the 2022 season but had to leave after just one day for medical checks.

There's certainly likely to be a lot of competition if the rumours are true but there could still be plenty of twists and turns in the cast between now and November.
