Girl Accepts Drink From Guy In A Bar, Gets A Text Asking For Money Back

When 18-year-old Abby Fenton from Barnsley accepted a drink from a guy in a nightclub, she probably didn't expect him to text her a few weeks later asking if she could transfer him the money for it. However, that's exactly what happened.

The Biomedical Sciences student said she was on a night out with friends when a guy called Liam approached her at the bar.

She told TheLADbible: "He came up to me and he seemed okay. Then he offered to buy me a drink so I accepted then walked off to join my friends.

"I couldn't tell you what I asked for, I can't remember. I think I just asked for something with vodka in." Fair enough.

She added: "I just remember him being tall. I literally asked nothing about him. I didn't find him good looking, I just thought it was a free drink." But she thought damn wrong!

The pair must've swapped numbers at some point and a few weeks later she received this message.

When asked what she thought when she read the message, the 18-year-old replied: "Is he being serious really asking for £6.50 back?"

She added: "I messaged my mates and they told me to put it on Twitter.

"Everybody has told me they find it so funny. Literally all people say is that they can't believe how cheeky it is!"

Abby then did what anybody in her situation would do and asked her Twitter followers to vote on whether or not she should pay him back.

The results showed that 83% voted 'no' and 17% voted 'yes'.

When asked if she regretted paying him back, she said: "No, I'm glad I did. I just hope that he enjoys spending his £6.50 wisely."

So do we. Bloody 'ell, Liam, lad.
