Men who let partners 'hotwife' explain why they do it as bizarre trend becomes more popular

There's truly something - and someone - for everyone, and 'hotwifing' is one of the latest bedroom trends which is becoming increasingly popular.

With ethical non-monogamy becoming ever-more mainstream, it seems sharing is definitely caring behind closed doors at least for fans of 'hotwifing'.

You never truly know what other people are getting up to in the bedroom, and this trend is catching on, with some couples saying it has even saved their relationship.

It's definitely not for the faint of heart though - nor for those who honour the traditional meaning of marriage and committing to being intimate with just one person until death do you part.

TV shows like Open House: The Great Sex Experiment have been bringing polyamory to the mainstream like never before, even if not all of the participants enjoyed it, with one even vomiting at the thought of his wife sleeping with other people.

So what is 'hotwifing'?

Fans of the trend say it's about a man gaining sexual pleasure from his wife sleeping with other men.

Unlike cuckolding, where the husband's pleasure comes from feeling degraded or humiliated while watching his wife sleep with someone else, lovers of 'hotwifing' say their kicks come from a sense of pride and showing off their wife.

Holly Jones is one such wife, and the content creator shares her love of 'hotwifing' online and appeared on the Holly Randall Unfiltered podcast to talk about her introduction to the scene.

She said she fell in love with 'hotwifing' after her husband told her about it: "He introduced me to it and ever since our first date we've been pretty much hotwifing."

"He would always say 'I have the hottest woman in the world, why would I not want to share?

"'I have this cool LEGO set, why would I not want to show it to my boys?'

Why do couples do it?

One such husband named Logan told the Daily Mail: "It’s kind of like letting your friend test drive your car.

“He gets to see how well it rides. He’s got to give it back, but it creates a sense of pride. You get a little taste of what my life is like.”

While comparing a woman to an inanimate object like a car or a LEGO set is never a good idea, it seems to work for them.

Another couple who say it has strengthened their marriage is Alex and Rebecca, who say it was actually Rebecca's idea.

She went to Alex and shared her fantasy of sleeping with two men at the same time.

Rebecca said: “There’s really nothing like being able to share that experience with someone you love and knowing that it doesn’t diminish what we have. Sex and love are two completely different things.

“It actually made it a lot stronger. And it’s weird to say, but I actually love him so much more because of it.”

Like everything, there are different levels to 'hotwifing', with some going more extreme than others.

One man, Richard, said he wanted to see his wife be 'defiled' while wearing her wedding dress, saying 'hotwifing' is 'a building block of love and trust, and it keeps getting stronger and stronger and stronger'.

“So we’re gonna strengthen our relationship, and I’m gonna get some entertainment and adrenaline from the defilement," he added.

Whatever floats your boat, Richard.
