A married couple who have been swinging for more than a decade have revealed the five biggest misconceptions about spicy cruises.
High school sweethearts Bella and Jase reckon that most people have got the wrong idea about what really goes down on these adults-only voyages that are designed for people who enjoy partner swapping.
The pair first joined in the fun last year and took their thousands of social media followers along with them as they made their debut on a spicy cruise.
They seemed to take to it like ducks to water, as the couple soon started sharing advice online about what essentials you should pack while also posting videos of the 'playrooms' onboard.

Bella and Jase started dating back in 2007 before deciding to venture into swinging seven years later, and these days, they dub themselves 'passion advocates'.
But the couple have got their work cut out for them when it comes to promoting consensual non-monogamy online, as they believe most people jump to the wrong conclusions about what it all involves.

And according to the swingers, folks have really got the wrong end of the stick about spicy cruises - so Bella has explained the five things that 'surprised' her the most about them.
In an Instagram post shared a couple of weeks back, Bella said that people wrongly presume that these events at sea are a 'nasty disgusting cesspool of horrendous people doing the most unimaginable immoral activities'.

"When that’s obviously not the case," she wrote. "Consent, respect, communication, and safety is ALWAYS the basis of these spicy communities.
"Maybe society is so used to the opposite that when they see something like this, they automatically assume the worst."
She explained that swingers can feel 'safe, free, and liberated to be themselves' onboard these raunchy vessels, while pointing out that 'no one is forcing anyone' to attend one if they don't want to.
Bella then detailed what she believes are the five biggest misinterpretations people make about spicy cruises.
First, she said that the ships aren't just full of 'vultures' who are 'trying to sleep with you' - as there's actually a 'kind, respectful, and not pushy' atmosphere onboard.

"The vibe is nothing like a normal night club/bar or general dating scene," Bella said. "You can walk around by yourself in almost nothing and still feel safe, supported, and not objectified. As a woman, this was wild to me!
"You spend most of your time hanging out with your partner and conversing with super nice and interesting people."
Although a lot of people pity the crew members who are employed on spicy cruises, Bella insisted that employees 'enjoy' sailing the seven seas with swingers.
"Cruise staff are told exactly what kind of cruise it is and have the option to work guest-facing or behind the scenes/operational areas," the content creator said. "Play areas are blocked off for guests and specifically hired charter staff only, who apply to work it and are oftentimes also in the lifestyle! Since the guests are generally more friendly, fun, clean, and generous, these charters are known to be enjoyable for the staff."

On that topic, she explained that staff 'strictly enforce' all the spicy cruise rules, while passengers are all 'hyper-aware, responsible, and respectful' of each others boundaries.
"You'll see more clear communication and safe behaviour here than in normal nightlife or dating environments and staff [are] very strict about the rules to ensure guests feel safe and comfortable," she went on.
Bella also revealed that the playrooms on the ship aren't just 'crazy free-for-alls', as people also go in just for sheer vibes.
Revealing what goes on behind closed doors, she explained: "Most beds are occupied just by one couple and you don't have to swap or participate to enjoy the play areas.

"Many go just for the environment, energy, and intimacy. You will see some wild group activity but it's not the majority!"
And lastly, Bella says that these trips are more 'about connection than the spicy parts'.
"You leave feeling more connected to your partner than ever, with a deeper sense of closeness and understanding *and* bonded with incredible new friends," she added. "The dinners, conversations, laughs, and intimate shared moments end up being the best part of the entire trip! The spicy parts are fun too though."
