A woman had shared the realities of going on a cruise, and she's pointed out some things that many people might not think too hard about.
Booking a trip on a cruise ship might be a dream come true for many, while others couldn't think of anything worse.
When you picture that idyllic holiday, you probably think of calm waters, bright blue skies and unlimited cocktails as you head to a tropical destination, only changing out of your swimwear to don your fanciest frock or suit.
However, there have been many cruise horror stories over the years, from the now infamous poop cruise to the hidden costs that can soon rack up.

One woman has shared a TikTok video about the realities of spending time on a cruise ship when it's a) dark and b) the weather is bad.

Posting on her @victorias.way page, the cruise content creator shared a montage of footage taken on a cruise ship at night, and it's been viewed almost 4.5 million times.
She filmed herself in pyjamas going out onto the balcony of her room, where you can see the dark waters swirling below.
Victoria captioned it: "Cruises are fun until you realise how dark the ocean is...and how scary it is when your ship gets caught in a storm."
The wind can be heard howling outside the ship.
"How much the ship is rocking," she continued, as the boat visibly sways from side to side thanks to the choppy waves.
"You can't do anything about it!" wrote Victoria, before she is seen retreating to the safety of the room and sliding the door closed to block out the noise from the gale outside.
Commenters rushed to reply on TikTok about how it's put them off a cruise.
"My biggest fear because I don't know how to swim!" wrote one.
"So then imagine Titanic, how that was..." that's NOT something you want to be thinking about while onboard a ship.
"Titanic has stopped me from ever going on a cruise!!! You are also confirming my fears with this video," echoed another.
"Why would this come on my fyp when I'm going on a cruise in 3 days!" pleaded one.
Not everyone was dissuaded though: "I really want to go on a cruise, but at the same time especially at night I think I would be terrified."
"I've got one booked next week and I love watching the ocean at night! It's so relaxing even with waves like this," insisted one fan.
"I'll go if you don't want to," joked another.
The buffets and drinks probably make up for it.
