GTA 6 has been given a monumental price tag days before the game is official made available for pre-orders by Rockstar Games.
A whopping €199.99 cost has been placed on the game by one retailer. That equates to around £173 in the United Kingdom and $230 over in the USA.
French retailer fnac is behind the supposed leak, with a total of five different GTA editions listed for pre-order for the game that drops on 19 November this year.
The five editions - dubbed RS1, RS2, RS3, RS4, and RS5 - have been given prices of €89.99, €99.99, €109.99, €119.99 and the above mentioned top price, with the only other information being the release date. Yeah, we see you, there is no hiding from us here.

According to the leak puts the starting price for Grand Theft Auto VI at around $103 / £77 - a stance that would eventually confirm the dreaded $100 price tag fears that have existed for more than a year.

We should officially find out pricing from Rockstar and parent company Take-Two Interactive on Thursday (25 June), when pre-orders officially go live. Can't buy something without knowing how much you're paying, and all that jazz.
But, as AltChar reports, is what we have ahead of then actually legit?
Over on X (formerly known as Twitter in a time before Elon Musk), renowned gaming insider @billbil-kun has kind of debunked the listing. For now, anyway.
Speaking about what the community has spotted on fnac, they said the prices are most likely placeholders at this time.
Instead of the actual price, they're most likely a placeholder number so the listing can be filled out for the time being with the real prices added once confirmed.

That's because, according to @billbil-kun, the barcodes on the products don't match Take-Two's traditional game prefixes.
"People literally cannot wait five more days for the price... that’s crazy," one user replied by saying.
"People really believe anything these days, thanks for clarifying," another wrote.
And a third posted: "Appreciate your work my dude."
Whether real or not, it's almost not the point at this stage. We're in the end game of GTA 6 being a thing that is coming and it becoming a very real product we can get our hands on - or at the very least download.
Looks like many people (including R*) are trying to disturb my holidays

Those SKUs are just placeholders bcz EAN codes (like UPC in US) aren’t belonging to Take2 traditional games prefixes
So those prices are random ones

We know there will be multiple editions, as there always is with a Grand Theft Auto release, so the five editions is no surprise. There will also be digital download, and a basic physical release.
What the pricing does tell us is that we will most likely have to pay a small fortune for the premium editions, with stock limited and a couple of hundred dollars probably not unrealistic given it is the most hotly anticipated video game of all time.
Pre-orders will go live on Xbox and PlayStation on 25 June, with an official price hopefully coming before the day itself.
Heck, we might even get a third trailer just to seal the deal for those unsure about purchasing five months before they can play it.
