A TikTok user has grossed out a large portion of the internet after sharing a video of how she cooked her turkey this Thanksgiving. Reader, it's not pretty.

TikToker Juliette (@itsmeju1iette) posted the video last week, proudly writing: "Made a turkey for my boyfriend's family."

Hashtags also include #chef and #relationshipgoals.

In the clip, Juliette - who bills herself as a 'master chef' in her bio' - grabs a huge bird and stuffs a couple of pieces of white, sliced bread into its, ahem, backside cavity.

It's sitting in a huge, disposable foil tray, which you'd assume means the turkey is destined for the oven for a nice bit of roasting.

But just as you're conjuring up appetising images of a golden brown beauty being placed onto a neatly-laid table, surrounded by all the trimmings and smiling, hungry faces, Juliette throws us a curveball.

Instead, she films herself popping the entire bird, now wrapped in plastic, into the microwave.

She then sets the timer for what looks like 60 minutes, before cutting to the grand reveal.

After the plastic covering is cut open, we see the poor turkey sitting in a puddle of murky brown juices, with bits floating around beneath it.

Juliette removes the giblets and places them into another dish, before showing herself tucking into some of the finished product.

Is the meat covered in melted plastic? Is it dry as a bone? Is it even cooked at all? What happened to all that mystery juice? More importantly, what on Earth did her boyfriend's family say? If they ate it, they must really, really like her.

The video has clearly upset a lot of people after being viewed by 2.5 million TikTok users - many of whom have commented to express their outrage.

One wrote in disbelief: "This, this is a joke right?"

Another person said: "The bread became all soggy when the chicken juices came out..."

A third added: "COAL FOR CHRISTMAS. DARK CRUNCHY COAL. ESPECIALLY FOR YOU."

Another pointed out that she hadn't even bothered to season the bird, while others speculated (and, we'd imagine, hoped) that it was a fake stunt.

If you look at Juliette's other food-based videos on her feed, you'll notice she likes to cook steak in the toaster, hot dogs in the washing machine and burgers on an iron. Creative, we'll give her that.
