Johnny Depp has officially announced the upcoming release of his new album ‘18’ with Jeff Beck, hyping it with the release of a music video for one of the singles.

Out of the courtroom and onto the stage, Depp is celebrating his defamation win against Amber Heard by collaborating with English rock guitarist Jeff Beck.

The 13-track album is set to drop on July 15 and will feature the duo covering bands such as The Beach Boys and Velvet Underground, along with two tracks composed by Depp.

The album was heavily anticipated when Depp made headlines last month for jumping on stage with Beck at a show in Sheffield, United Kingdom, before joining him for a handful of other gigs.

Beck alluded to the album while on stage at London’s Royal Albert Hall on June 2, only one day after Depp won his case.

The guitarist stated: "I met this guy five years ago and we've never stopped laughing since.

"We actually made an album. I don't know how it happened. It will be out in July."

We now have the confirmed date, with Depp and Beck releasing a statement on the upcoming album.

Depp said in a release: “It’s an extraordinary honour to play and write music with Jeff, one of the true greats and someone I am now privileged enough to call my brother.”

Depp and Beck have been working on the album since 2019, with Beck outlining the reason behind the album’s title ‘18’.

Beck said: “When Johnny and I started playing together, it really ignited our youthful spirit and creativity. We would joke about how we felt 18 again, so that just became the album title too.”

They’ve even given a taste of what is expected from the upcoming album, releasing a music video for one of Depp’s original productions ‘This Is a Song for Miss Hedy Lamarr’.

The video shows the duo jamming out on the stage, much like they have been in the UK.

Depp was so committed to the tour and album release he even journeyed across the pond before his court verdict was read out, meaning he wasn’t in attendance when the jury came to their decision.

News of the album follows an Instagram post by Depp in the aftermath of his legal win stating how he was excited to start a 'new chapter' in his life, telling followers and fans that 'the best is yet to come'.
