Here is the moment a drunk Russian man gets lost in an airport's carousel network while trying to get to his flight:

I'm sure after a few drinks many of us have got lost at the airport on the way to the gate. However, I very much doubt that any of you have managed to get lost in an airport carousel.

The footage was caught at Sheremetyevo International Airport in the Russian capital Moscow on July 28.

According to Life, the unnamed man was, for some strange reason, attempting to get to the runway where his flight was waiting...via the luggage carousel.

Unfortunately, he got lost on the way and ended up going on an 'Aladdin carpet ride' behind the airport's curtain.

The video shows a man casually walking onto a carousel with his hand luggage, ends up going the wrong way on the conveyor belt, after losing his footing then falling over at an intersection, whilst losing a shoe in the process.

The man's bag snags on the handrail where he eventually frees it and gets taken down one carousel for an unexpected rollercoaster ride, unaware of its final destination.

He eventually arrived at the baggage scanning point where security guards were on hand to promptly detain him.

A spokesperson for the Ministry of Internal Affairs said: "The duty manager of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation at Sheremetyevo Airport received a message that an unidentified man was on the luggage belt on the third floor of Terminal D, and entered the sorting room via the carousels on 28th July."

The Ministry of Internal Affairs also stated the passenger was a resident of Yalta City who was born in 1994.

The man has reportedly been charged with violating airport security rules.

Another traveller has just gone viral after sharing her own airport mishap.

TikTok user Lex (@simp4beanz) shared a video from the airport - having realised she turned up for her flight an entire YEAR early, and is now 'stuck' in Croatia.

Her video has racked up 1.1 million views and 245,000 likes, along with thousands of comments from people who have found her situation nothing short of hilarious.

One person quipped: "I understand you need to be at the airport two hours early but a year seems a bit too early."
