A stink spray set off at a Texas high school was so bad that it saw several students hospitalised.
PEOPLE reported that Caney Creek High School Principal Jeff Stichle confirmed police had conducted an investigation after ‘a highly concentrated, prank, stink spray called Hensgaukt Fart Spray’ was planted in the school.
According to a memo obtained by KHOU-11, after the potent smell was released onto campus, the school was closed to allow officials to investigate.

“Caney Creek HS will not have school tomorrow, Friday, May 5th, to allow the contractors to continue their investigation into the source. Just as we have throughout this situation, we will update you as we know more,” it read.
I mean, that’s one way to have the day off.
Caney Creek Fire Chief Raymond Flannelly told the outlet that six students had been taken to hospital after experiencing headaches due to the smell; however, they were unsure how severe their condition was.

The gas smell was reportedly released near the cafeteria, and the smell was so potent students and staff had to be immediately evacuated from campus last week.

Caney Creek Fire Department and Conroe ISD maintenance staff shortly after arrived to investigate where the smell was coming from.
However, staff could not locate where the smell was coming from.

Caney Creek Fire Chief Raymond Flannelly told PEOPLE that firefighters ‘checked the entire building with gas detection equipment and were not able to locate any signs of gas'.
Classes resumed the following day but again, staff were called to investigate the smell.
This time, fire marshals and a HAZMAT team were sent to the school to assist with determining where the ‘concerning odour’ was coming from; but frustratingly, they couldn’t find the source.
"They went through the building from top to bottom," Flannelly told KHOU-11.

"These Hazmat teams are professionals, they know a lot about different types of gases, their meters picked up nothing as well. So, it's a mystery."
And while the location of the smell is yet to be found, Chief Flannelly issued a warning to the student(s) behind the prank that had backfired.
"We hope it's not because I promise you, they will be held accountable," Flannelly said.
