Borat Subsequent Moviefilm has finally dropped on Amazon Prime.

The long-awaited sequel to the 2006 hit comedy has arrived and it's already proving to be more controversial than its predecessor.

Sacha Baron Cohen, who plays Borat, recently said in an interview that it was important the film was released before the US Presidential election on 3 November, between incumbent Donald Trump and Democrat nominee Joe Biden.

Speaking to the New York Times, he said: "We wanted it to be a reminder to women of who they're voting for - or who they're not voting for. If you're a woman and you don't vote against this guy, then know what you're doing for your gender."

The movie targets some of the most powerful people in the world, including Trump and deceased paedophile Jeffrey Epstein.

One of the outrageous stunts Baron Cohen is involved in sees him wearing a fat suit as part of the Trump disguise he used to sneak into a Mike Pence rally earlier in the year.

The Borat sequel is available to watch on Amazon Prime.

The 49-year-old told the publication: "Bear in mind, I spent five hours in makeup that morning with the prosthetic team changing my face into Trump's face.

"This fat suit is huge. It's a 56-inch fat suit to turn my waist into Trump's because we had estimated that was the most realistic."

He continued: "I ended up hiding in the bathroom, listening to conservative men go to the toilet for five hours until I broke into the room. We were surrounded by Secret Service and police and internal security."

One of the most controversial scenes to come out ahead of the released involved the former New York mayor Rudy Giuliani being caught in an compromising situation with a young woman.

Giuliani was reportedly in a scene with Borat's 15-year-old daughter, played by 24-year-old actor Maria Bakalova.

She pretends to be a conservative TV journalist who requested an interview with Giuliani. After their chat, Giuliani can reportedly been seen trying to hold her hand, give her compliments and follow her to the bedroom.

Bakalova's character then takes off their microphones and Giuliani is seen lying down on a bed and putting his hands down his pants.

The scene gets disrupted by Borat, who bursts into the room dressed in pink underwear and tells Giuliani: "She's 15, she's too old for you."

Despite the embarrassment, however, the 76-year-old denied any wrongdoing and claimed he was just tucking his shirt in.

Taking to Twitter, he said: "The Borat video is a complete fabrication. I was tucking in my shirt after taking off the recording equipment. At no time before, during, or after the interview was I ever inappropriate.

"If Sacha Baron Cohen implies otherwise he is a stone-cold liar.

"In fact, the NY Post today reports, 'it looks to me like an exaggeration through editing'. As soon as I realized it was a set up I called the police, which has been noted in THR article on July 8th."

However, one of the film's writers, Jena Friedman, took to Twitter following Giuliani's denial that he was doing anything untoward.

Sharing Giuliani's criticism and citing a fake advert filmmakers had mocked up separately for the film, the comic tweeted: "It's important to note that anyone who appears in any commercial comedy project has signed a performance release in advance. If we could just release footage of anyone without their consent, you all would have gotten to see this amazing fake ad @anuvalia and I pulled off.

"It's also important to note that there are SO MANY more credible allegations against Trump than Rudy. If any of Rudy's behavior shocks you, just imagine what Trump has done or would do if in a similar situation."
