Brits have affairs for all sorts of reasons, and it turns out that one town in particular is where it happens the most.

The folks at IllicitEncounters.com have devised a list of the 'most unfaithful towns' - or 'cheating hotspots' - in the UK, along with the 'most faithful' places we have to offer.

It might sound a bit weird to label certain areas with having the most f**kboys, but you would assume that the affairs site with over 1.8 million users knows where most of their customers are coming from.

Before anyone signs up, however, an important disclaimer reads: "Not everyone is suited to having an affair. They are not an alternative to working on or ending a marriage.

"Not all affairs have a positive effect on a marriage, some can be very damaging. Always consider other people and if you are going to have an affair, please select your partner wisely."

Now, for this year, 'the UK's leading married-dating website' has revealed the most prominent 'cheating hotspots' in Britain.

Here's the list:

Most Unfaithful Towns in 2025

1) Ascot, Berkshire (6.72 percent)

2) Wilmslow, Cheshire (6.23 percent)

3) Alness, Highlands (6.01 percent)

4) Fowey, Cornwall (5.69 percent)

5) Ludlow, Shropshire (5.51 percent)

6) Framlingham, Suffolk (5.46 percent)

7) Weybridge, Surrey (5.45 percent)

8) Warwick, Warwickshire (5.33 percent)

9) Caerphilly, Caerphilly (5.28 percent)

10) Motherwell, Lanarkshire (5.11 percent)

Reacting to the results, Jessica Leoni, sex and relationships expert for IllicitEncounters.com, said: “Affluent commuter towns like Ascot and Wilmslow are classic affair hotspots.”

Most Faithful Towns in 2025

1) Clacton-on-Sea, Essex (0.31 percent)

2) Harlow, Essex (0.42 percent)

3) Hartlepool, County Durham (0.49 percent)

4) Alloa, Clackmannanshire (0.57 percent)

5) Wigan, Greater Manchester (0.58 percent)

6) Washington, Tyne and Wear (0.58 percent)

7) Swindon, Wiltshire (0.60 percent)

8) Bournemouth, Dorset (0.61 percent)

9) Gateshead, Tyne and Wear (0.62 percent)

10) Paignton, Devon (0.63 percent)

On Clacton-on-Sea’s low infidelity rate, Leoni pointed out: “It seems residents of the seaside town are remaining remarkably faithful.

“These places are hubs for high-flying careers, long commutes, and significant stress – affairs can become a form of release or a way to reclaim your identity, so it’s no surprise these places are buzzing with passion.

“Perhaps the political drama on their doorstep is providing enough excitement for everyone, leaving no reason to stray from their partners.”
