Charlie Kirk's wife has revealed how she told their three-year-old daughter that her father had died.
The Donald Trump ally, 31, was assassinated during a Q&A event at Utah Valley University (UVU) on Wednesday (10 September) afternoon.
Tyler Robinson, a 22-year-old college student, has been named by the FBI as the number one suspect who allegedly shot Kirk with a rifle from a nearby rooftop.
Erika, the widow of the right-wing activist, said he was a 'perfect' husband and dad to his two children, who also loved America, nature and the Chicago Cubs.

“But most of all, Charlie loved his children and he loved me with all of his heart,” she said in her first comments since the incident.
Addressing her husband’s killer, Erika said: "You have no idea the fire that you have ignited within this wife.
"The cries of this widow will echo around the world like a battle cry.
"If you thought that my husband's mission was powerful before, you have no idea, you have no idea what you just have unleashed across this entire country and this world, you have no idea."

Revealing how she broke the news to her three-year-old daughter, the mum-of-two explained: "[Our daughter said] 'Mommy, I missed you.' I said, I missed you too. She goes, 'where's daddy?' She's 3.
"I said, 'Baby, daddy loves you so much. He's on a work trip with Jesus, so he can afford your blueberry budget.'"
Also on Instagram, Erika wrote: "If they thought my husband’s mission was big now... you have no idea.
You.

"All of you. Will never. Ever. Forget my husband @charliekirk1776 I’ll make sure of it."
Her comments come after Robinson was arrested on suspicion of aggravated murder, felony discharge of a firearm causing serious bodily harm and obstruction of justice charges, according to a court affidavit.
A judge ordered that he would be held without bail, while formal charges are expected early next week.

Although authorities are yet to reveal a motive, one of the engravings on bullet casings recovered from the rifle used in the attack reportedly read: 'Hey, fascist! Catch!'.
Utah governor Spencer Cox said that a roommate told them that messages from the chatting app Discord involved a contact named Tyler, and discussed a rifle wrapped in a towel, engraved bullets and a scope.
Discord, however, has denied the claim that the platform was used by the suspect to plan the shooting.
"In the course of our investigation, we identified a Discord account associated with the suspect, but have found no evidence that the suspect planned this incident or promoted violence on Discord," a spokesperson said.

"The messages referenced in recent reporting about planning details do not appear to be Discord messages.
"These were communications between the suspect's roommate and a friend after the shooting, where the roommate was recounting the contents of a note the suspect had left elsewhere."
