You remember 'fish and rice cakes guy', right? If not, you can reacquaint yourself in the video below.

The clip is taken from a BBC Three documentary called Baby Faced Bodybuilders. In it, a 16-year-old Danny Andrews explains his daily diet during the fortnight prior to the Mr Cumbria bodybuilding competition.

He said: "Eight o'clock in the morning I'll have fish and a rice cake. At 10 o'clock, I'll have fish. At 12 o'clock, I'll have fish and a rice cake. At two o'clock, I'll have fish. At four o'clock - just before I train - I'll have fish and a rice cake. I'll train, I'll have me fish. I'll come home, have some more fish, with a rice cake, and then have some more fish before I go to bed."

And that was that. Danny had no idea in that moment that he was making a new name for himself - 'fish and rice cake guy'.

Over the years since, Danny has had the piss taken out of him on countless occasions.

Speaking to LADbible, he said: "Some people rip me saying I thought fish was brain food, but clearly it's not.

"People ask if I was sponsored by Captain Birdseye. People have made memes and remixes on YouTube, also Scott Mills used to play it weekly, he even spoke to Jake Gyllenhaal about it."

But it seems Danny has had the last laugh.

Dare you to make a fish and rice cake joke to this unit's face.

At 29 years of age, he is now an absolute man mountain. Indeed, it would be a brave soul who took the piss out of him these days.

So did all that fish and all those rice cakes do the trick? Well no - in fact, Danny doesn't even like fish.

He said: "My diet was only that for the last two weeks before my show - I don't actually like fish. Instead of saying I have eight meals of fish a day, and every other meal I have a rice cake, I was trying to work out times.

"So it makes me appear absolutely stupid, fitting the stereotype of the typical bodybuilder.

"At the time I was so embarrassed, but I have embraced it.

"I look completely different now when I say I'm into the gym people ask if I'm on the fish and the rice cakes, not knowing it's me."

Danny is hoping to return to competitive body building next year.

Danny has taken a few years out of bodybuilding, setting up his own barbers in Preston, called Danny's Barbershop, but he hopes to return to competitions next year.

So, moral of the story - you can get mega buff without only eating fish and rice cakes.

... Also, be careful what you say when being filmed for a documentary - people will mercilessly take the piss out of you for it for a long, looong time.
