If you fancy a Big Mac and fries for £1.99 - and you don't fancy using the bar-code tricks that's been doing the rounds recently - then there's another way. Better yet, McDonald's are entirely cool with you doing it.
The fast food giant has launched a new scheme where you to 'review' its food, basically, and provide some feedback on your experiences with the chain.
You need to visit a new website called 'Food for Thought' and provide some insight.

Afterwards, you'll be given a numbered code, which offers you Big Mac and fries for less than half price. A Big Mac and fries usually cost £4.08.

At the moment, there's no minimum spend, so you can buy the cheapest thing on the menu, review it and still make use of the offer. So it looks like their sour cream and chive dip is going to be getting a hell of a lot of 'five star' ratings.

Simply follow these instructions:
- Go to the machine, click on the 'I have a voucher code' button in the top right of the screen
- Using your phone, zoom in on one of the barcodes below
- Scan the voucher into the machine and voila.
The person who shared the trick on the site, (with the username 'decrypt') said: "Walk into any McDonald's that has the new digital ordering screens.
