This beautiful, Scottish island is on the market for £325,000, a bargain considering that a two-bedroom flat in Edinburgh city centre would set you back the same amount.
Twenty-nine-acre Little Ross island offers a six bedroom, B-listed cottage with courtyard. The island is also home to a 19th-centruy lighthouse, which isn't part of the deal.

However, whoever is thinking of purchasing it would need to come to terms with the islands grisly past. The picturesque island hit headlines back in 1960 when two visitors found the body of interim lighthouse keeper Hugh Clark.
Robert Dickson, another lighthouse keeper, was charged with the murder and was initially sentenced to hang for the murder, but this was later reduced to life in prison.

David Corrie, senior associate at Castle Douglas property firm Galbraith said Little Ross, off the coast of Dumfries and Galloway, offered 'fantastic development potential'.
