He may have been one of the world’s strongest men but Eddie Hall already has some stiff competition - from his 10-year-old son, Maximus.

The young athlete shared a video of him and his famous father pumping iron together, on his YouTube channel Beast Jnr, with the kid benching more than more most adults.

However, Hall wasn’t about to go easy on his son.

Instead, the bodybuilder had built a rigorous weight routine for the youngster to complete with reps on the flat bench, inclined bench and even a round of flyaways.

Though most adults would turn and run at this point (us included), young Max seemed up for the challenge as he boasted about his impressive rep count on the bench press.

Even his warmup looked intense, as the 10 year old benched a 20kg bar over 10 times with little effort.

But this was just the beginning for the boy bodybuilder.

The father and son duo are fitness fanatics.

Swapping a standard bar for 40kg weights, the 10-year-old continued as his dad watched on.

Though Maximus struggled to keep steady at points, he pushed through the pain and got up to five reps before his dad had to spur him on.

Hovering over him, the bodybuilder reminder his son about his form and watched with pride as he finished his final rep.

“That’s actually ridiculous…. that 40kg bench-press...really," Hall said, clearly impressed with his son’s Herculean efforts – which were especially impressive given his age.

The strongman then invited his camera man, Jamie, to lift the same amount to show just how difficult it was for most adults.

The ten year old then benched 40kg.

“I can barely do 20”, joked Jamie off camera before taking to the bench.

Whilst he willingly participated, he could barely contain the fact that he was struggling after the first rep – letting out a huge sigh as he brought the bar down.

He looked even more intimated as he learned that he had five more, yelping ‘what’ as Hall put him through his paces on the flat bench.

It was clear how relieved he was once he’d finished, as Jamie struggled for a moment.

With a wry smile, Hall then told viewers: “Just to prove a point here, Jamie is 23 years of age and this goes to show, I think most adults cannot bench this kind of weight.”

Jamie the camera man struggled under the strain of the bench press.

Though he’s still in school, it looks like Maximus is shaping up to be just like his bodybuilding dad.

He is regularly featured on Hall's Instagram, with the youngster already setting his sights on becoming the World’s Strongest Man in the future.
