Couple Build Three-Storey 'Dog Palace' For Their Pets To Play In

It's all well and good saying you love your dogs, but have you ever actually gone and built them a massive dog palace? No? Well, Kylee Ryan and her boyfriend Josh Bunce have. You can take a tour of their impressive DIY creation in the video below:

The couple live in Jade City, British Columbia, Canada - a place where people are outnumbered by dogs (though there are only about 30 people there, to be fair).

It's fitting then that the pair decided to build their five pooches a place of their own.

The couple share a huge property in the 'city' - which is known for its jade stones (surprise surprise) - and wanted to build somewhere for their dogs to play; however, they were wary of leaving them out in the open, as there are lots of natural predators in the region.

Mr Bunce, 25, started out by fencing off a large area and building a dog house - but then things began to escalate from there.

Speaking to LADbible, Ms Ryan, 24, said: "They have a huge fenced in area with a three-storey dog house and a tree house, with pools in the summer.

How much is that doggy in the window?

"My boyfriend started out with the one-storey dog house. Then he decided each dog needed their own space, then a second floor was added. Then a third floor. There is so much room, and it's sturdy enough to hold humans.

"Then the tree house was built because one husky likes her own private area, so she got a private deck. Then he added the dog walk to a high platform in the trees because the huskies like to be on the lookout."

This husky has a private deck, do you?

All in, the DIY dog kingdom has taken two years to gradually build, but it cost nothing, as they used 100 percent recycled materials.

Ms Ryan said it was love at first sight when the dog palace was first unveiled to Blu (five-year-old smaller husky), Bandit (four-year-older bigger husky), Mama (five-year-old black labrador), Rollo (three-year-old white pitbull) and Bilbo (the seven-month-old little one).

She said: "The dogs loved it immediately. It's like a giant play pen for them. They would go from floor to floor. It was quite sweet.

"We have to fight the huskies to make them come inside at night or else they would sleep in their houses - but I'm nervous about predators.

"It's awesome when we puppy sit my friends three dogs and we turn into an eight dog household. The kennel makes it easy and I have to beg the dogs to come inside from play time."

Anyone else feel like they've been doing life wrong this whole time?
