Maybe it's not under the sea, but it's as damn close as you're going to get

He lives in a pineapple under the sea - and now you can as well, in this SpongeBob SquarePants themed villa in the Dominican Republic.

The cartoon character's home has been recreated in luxurious fashion in Punta Cana - of course, it's not actually under the sea, but it is shaped like a massive pineapple.

The huge yellow structure can be found in the country's Nickelodeon Hotels & Resorts destination, and it's not exactly easy to miss.

The resort has a load of different suites, but they're all nautically themed, bringing Bikini Bottom to life.

The Pineapple villa is all SpongeBob themed.

Inspired by the famous cartoon town, all the indoor and outdoor living and dining areas have a whole load of incredible features.

The private master suite has a huge kind sized bed and a smart TV, with the marble bathroom coming with two showers - one indoors and one outdoors - AND a freestanding tub.

The second bedroom is on the upper level and has two beds, while the living room leads out to private gardens, the Pineapple's signature infinity pool, and sun beds.

And not only are you living in luxury SpongeBob style, you also have private butlers. Your group gets a pre-arrival questionnaire where you tell the creators exactly what you want, from food to newspapers and pampering services.

They even offer events - moonlight beach dinner? Yep - all prepared by a world-class chef. Fancy a bit of wine tasting? That can be arranged, they even offer pizza parties, afternoon tea and pyjama parties.

The resort has loads of other features and is a proper once-in-a-lifetime trip (for us normal folk anyway).

There are spas, loads of themed restaurants and bars, as well as a huge water park.

And obviously, it's not going to be a trip to a Nickelodeon-themed resort if the kids don't get to meet all the TV channel's favourite characters.

Not only can you meet and have your photo taken with them, but the resort can even arrange for them to be at your beck and call.

The website explains: "You'll wake up to breakfast with Nickelodeon characters like SpongeBob SquarePants, Dora the Explorer or Paw Patrol. Enjoy photo opportunities, meet & greets, and take-home gifts.

"Or make a date with Donatello, Leonardo, Michelangelo, and Raphael at the TMNT Turtle Power Breakfast, where you'll learn ninja turtle moves perfect for any vacation, like the Snooze Button Slam and the Sun Block."

Count me in, lads.
