You can stay in a 19th century castle in rural England with 15 friends - from as little as £13 per night.

If you opt to stay in this eight-bedroom castle, you'll be renting the entire property and grounds, with space for up to 16 people.

The estate, with its fairy tale tower and observatory, is located in West Ashton, Wiltshire, and the nearest neighbours are two miles away. Suitable for a noisy bunch, maybe?

At the time of writing this article there are three days and two nights in March available at just £134 per night.

The castle is very popular and there aren't many full weeks free - however, you can stay between 9-16 November for a total of £2,955 which, between 16 people, would cost around £185 per person for the week.

Alternatively, going for a long weekend from 13-16 November would set you back £2,389 (£150 per person) which isn't much cheaper than the entire week.

According to Country Cottages Online, the castle can be hired from between £450 and £3,450 per week. This will obviously depend completely on peak and off peak times of the year.

There are four bathrooms and it is advertised as being pet-friendly (up to five dogs are welcome).

Hidden behind wooden electric gates and with a sweeping driveway outside the property, both inside and outside the castle should impress.

The castle features many original features like thick stone walls, beamed ceilings, gargoyles, leaded and mullioned windows and inspiring historic fireplaces, making this a very special place to stay. There is 24-hour CCTV security, as well as a keyless digital electronic entry system.

Inside the grand property there is a 'great hall' which offers a majestic dining experience with a chandelier hanging from the high vaulted ceiling. The castle also boasts a discreet speaker system.

There is a well-equipped kitchen with mod cons and an original oil-fired AGA cooker, although outside catering can be arranged before your stay to take the stress off.

The owners recommend to book in early to avoid any disappointment. A 25 percent deposit must be paid and then the full balance 10 weeks prior to arrival. There will also be a £100 security/damages deposit.
