A man has been dumped by his girlfriend after a few quiet drinks at his pal's house escalated quickly and landed him on an impromptu lads' holiday to Ibiza. Well, it can happen to the best of us, can't it?

It started when Brad Duff went around to his mate Reece Lornie's house in Dundee for a couple of jars on Sunday evening (5 July).
However, things started to get out of hand after a while, and the two 19-year-old guys realised they'd never been on holiday together, despite being best mates.
They quickly remedied that by making a 1,700 mile journey via Amsterdam to the Spanish party island.

Six hours after the idea came up, they'd found flights, got to Edinburgh airport, and were staying in the Ibiza Rocks hotel.
However, Brad's girlfriend didn't quite see the funny side of the story, and promptly dumped him.
Speaking from Ibiza, Reece said: "We're having a great time. We've been to Ocean Beach every day since Monday, just chilling there. We have spent a fortune there so far.
"We're just enjoying the 34-degree weather, it feels like liberation after lockdown.
"Brad came to mine on Sunday and we were having a couple of drinks. I've no idea how we got on to talk about holidays but we ended up on the internet and found a good deal to get to Ibiza."

"We bought a one-way flight out here and six hours later we were here. We were just sitting in mine having a drink and next thing you know we're in Ibiza.
"Brad's girlfriend has left him because of this, she went mental at him.
"Obviously, she didn't know we were coming out here because we didn't and then she woke up on Monday morning with a photo from us saying we were in Ibiza."
After making their snap decision, the pair grabbed a lift from a mate to Edinburgh airport, boarded a KLM flight they managed to get £150 ($189) one-way tickets for, and stopped off in Amsterdam before heading to Ibiza.

It's fair to say that Reece's parents have taken it better than Brad's girlfriend, but the two plumbers have to get back before too long as they've got work to go to.
Reece continued: "When I told my mum and dad they didn't think it was real, they just thought I was joking. They're OK with it now though.
"God knows when we'll be home. We need to get a return sorted soon though because I've got work.
"I rang my boss the next day and told him what had happened. He was alright about it, he just said 'you only live once'."

Well, that's true. Might as well enjoy it while you can.
