An extreme body modification artist has revealed that he is 71 per cent finished with evolving into a 'black alien'.
When it comes to extreme body modification, Anthony Loffredo is arguably one of the most well-known figures in the world.
The 37-year-old is known for undergoing some pretty drastic body changes, which include removing his ears, nose and top lip, amputating two fingers and having numerous subdermal implants placed in his head and arms.
And that's not even mentioning the fact that Loffredo has had himself almost entirely tattooed in black ink.

His extreme transformation is one which hasn't been without backlash, as the Frenchman revealed in a 2023 Channel 4 documentary that he is often judged for his appearance.
Why did Anthony Loffredo transform himself into a black alien?
When you hear about someone who's decided to chop parts of their body off, ink every inch of available skin and even have objects permanently implanted into their body, your first question is most likely going to be 'why'.
Thankfully, in the case of Loffredo, we don't have to speculate too much, as he previously revealed to the Spanish newspaper El Periódico in 2021 that he'd made the changes to help himself feel better in his body.
"Because it's something very personal that I feel," he told the outlet.
"My questions about life... Why are there only humans on Earth? Why isn't there something more," Loffredo continued.
"Because it's something that fascinates me: the extraterrestrial world. It's something that really captivates me."
This is something he also touched on while filming the documentary I Transformed Myself Into An Alien, saying that he wasn't interested in people.
"I'm alone since I was little," he said.
However, in December 2023, Loffredo appeared to abandon his alien project, revealing it had 'lost all meaning to him' and that he would finish his evolution by covering himself completely in black ink.
This is something which he appears to be continuing with, judging by a recent Instagram post which he captioned: "Black alien project evolution 71%."
