Not much time seems to pass before Lil Nas X is in the headlines again - and this time, it's because his new album has just dropped - or been born? With that being said, how much is the musician worth in 2021?
Lil Nas X shocked people with the announcement of Montero, which involved a fake pregnancy stunt just a week before the album dropped. Despite backlash, the rapper went on to post a video of him in labour in a hospital and "giving birth" to his album.
The 'Old Town Road' singer is certainly controversial, and that extends to his wardrobe. He recently stole the show at the Met Gala with three brilliantly eccentric outfits on the red carpet.
The Georgia-born rapper is said to be worth over $14 million (£10.2 million) in 2021.
Most of his earnings come from his music and videos, which rack up millions of views.
In addition, Lil Nas has modelled for a new line in Rihanna's Fenty range, which no doubt came with a hefty pay slip.
Yes. The pop-rapper came out as gay in June 2019, to coincide with Pride Month.
Previously reluctant to come out as gay, he announced the news to fans on Twitter by urging them to "listen closely" to his song 'C7osure,' which says: "Ain't no more actin', man, that forecast say I should just let me grow," which is now understood to be a nod to him concealing his identity as a gay man.
"Deadass thought I made it obvious," he said in a Tweet, with several rainbow emojis at the end.
The same year, Lil Nas became the first openly gay man to receive a Country Music Award for 'Old Town Road.'
As mentioned, Lil Nas X wore some wonderfully over-the-top outfits on the red carpet for this year's Met Gala.

He joined Kim Kardashian and A$AP Rocky in stealing the show with the wacky interpretations of this year's theme - 'In America: A Lexicon of Fashion.'
