Lisa Hogan urges fans not to visit Diddly Squat Farm

The fifth season of Clarkson's Farm has landed, much to fans' excitement, but Lisa Hogan says the public should stay away this week

Fans of Clarkson's Farm have been warned they shouldn't make a trip to the iconic Diddly Squat Farm Shop this week.

The fifth season of Jeremy Clarkson's hugely popular farming series stormed back to Amazon Prime earlier in June and fans of the programme have been packing out its quaint farm shop since it opened back in 2020.

Every week you'll see hundreds - if not thousands - of fans waiting in line outside the farm to get a look at what life is really like, and to purchase some of the former Top Gear host's wares.

However, Clarkson's partner, Lisa Hogan, has now asked fans and would-be shoppers to reconsider any plans they may have to visit the farm this week, even if the shop in Chadlington, near Chipping Norton, Oxfordshire, remains open.

In an Instagram post on the farm shop's page, a warning read: "If you’re planning to visit Diddly this week, please read below.

"Diddly is hosting Cereals this Wednesday and Thursday. Cereals is a farming trade event and is NOT open to the public.

"There will also be road closures and extra traffic around the farm during this time.

"The farm shop will still be open as usual, but if you’re planning a visit, it might take a little longer than normal to get to us."

Over 25,000 visitors are expected at the farm for the two-day event, with more than 700 exhibitors.

The account instead urged fans to visit Diddly Squat's neighbouring pub, which also has a shop.

"You might want to visit our shop at The Farmer’s Dog instead," it was suggested. "Which will be open as usual with less traffic around the area. Thanks for your understanding and sorry for any inconvenience." (sic)

However, Clarkson himself didn't seem too bothered about the prospect of increased traffic in the area and said anyone could still come if they fancied.

Speaking in a short social media clip, Hogan said off-camera: "Hello, we are at Diddly!

"We are open next week. Cereals is on, but there will be a one-way traffic system. So... maybe go to the pub shop, the shop up at the pub. What do you think, Jeremy?"

Replying in typical Clarkson fashion, the former Top Gear host replied: "Come here if you want."

In response, Hogan reiterated her warning: "Well, come here, but the traffic may be bad. The pub shop is open."

When is the next episode of Clarkson's Farm out?

Instead of going to the shop to pick up some locally sourced milk and honey, why not watch the series instead?

After launching on 3 June, series five of Clarkson's Farm has seen the presenter-cum-landowner wrestle with the tough decision of letting his pigs go, as they don't produce enough meat to drive a profit over the first four episodes.

Thankfully, Clumsy and Swizz were saved from the slaughter after being adopted by an educational facility, but will there be more drama to come?

Episode five and six are both expected to air on Amazon Prime on 10 June at 8am.
