If you really, really love Stranger Things, then this may excite you.

Netflix has revealed the titles of the eight episodes for the third series, and while that isn't much, it is something.

The titles were revealed in a teaser video, which closes with the message: "In the summer of 1985, the adventure continues."

Now, just to clarify, the summer of 1985 is when the third series is set, not when it is released - that was clear, right?

Unfortunately, the release date isn't as specific as when it is set; all we know is it is 'coming 2019'.

So since we don't have a date to work towards, let's get all excited by the episode titles in the meantime.

They are as follows:

- 'Suzie, Do You Copy?'

- 'The Mall Rats'

- 'The Case of the Missing Lifeguard'

- 'The Sauna Test'

- 'The Source'

- 'The Birthday'

- 'The Bite'

- 'The Battle of Starcourt'

Some food for thought there then. Obviously, with just a few words to go off, it's probably unlikely that we can make any dependable predictions, but that doesn't mean we can't enjoy speculating wildly anyway.

All the talk surrounding the upcoming series has suggested that fans of the show are right to be excited.

Speaking at the Television Critics Association tour in Beverley Hills, Cindy Holland - Netflix's programming executive - said of the team behind the show: "The Duffer Brothers and Shawn Levy, they understand the stakes are high.

"They want to deliver something bigger and better than last year. I think it's going to be a fantastic season. It will be worth the wait.

"It's a really exciting season, just takes a little more time."

David Harbour, who plays police chief Jim Hopper, has also thrown fuel on the excitement fire - though he too was a little cryptic about what exactly we can expect.

Speaking to Deadline, he said: "If you're a real fan of Stranger Things and you really want to know, I would go look at the great films that were released in '85 - of which there were many - and just go down that list and think of the possibilities that we could be going with.

"I think it is a specific season to 1985, and so you'll see references to that.

"We're experimenting a lot this season, and we're taking risks, and I hope that they pay off, but they are risks. We're going into territories we've never been to before, and it's exciting."

There's your homework then until we get the third season - watch every film released in 1985.
