A new Jackass movie has been announced by Johnny Knoxville for June of this year, with the actor revealing the sequel film on social media.
Knoxville has posted to Instagram to announce that this summer Jackass would be ‘back’.
The stunt performer and actor posted on Instagram, saying: “Well a wang dang and hot damn doodle, we are starting the year off with a bang.
“We wanted to let you know that this summer Jackass is back!! We will see you in theatres June 26th. More to come but wanted you to hear it from us first!!”

The film will mark the first time in three years that the Jackass crews have been back on our screens, having returned for Jackass Forever in 2022 after 12 years away.
In that time though, much of the cast have changed massively, or in some cases aren’t involved with the Jackass crew whatsoever anymore.
Steve-O

Steve-O was well known for being one of the wildest members of the original Jackass crew, but was secretly struggling with alcohol and drug abuse behind the scenes.
After an intervention from his co-stars in 2008 though, he became sober, and has been ever since by all accounts.
He now is host to a successful podcast Wild Ride! in which he’s interviewed guests such as Mark Wahlberg, John C Reilly, and Post Malone.
Bam Margera

Margera was controversially fired from Jackass Forever in 2021 for violations of the film’s wellness policy and in the years that followed, had some high profile controversies.
In recent interviews, however, Margera has stated you ‘couldn’t pay him enough money’ to do another Jackass - so the chances of him appearing in the sequel are incredibly low.
The skater sued his former co-stars in 2022, which was settled out of court, and he even offered to fight Knoxville in a bare knuckle brawl. He has thankfully though been sober for nearly two years after struggling with addiction.
Johnny Knoxville

Knoxville is arguably the most successful member of the crew having managed to transition fully to acting.
He received plaudits in his performance for the film Sweet Dreams and also appeared in one episode of Seth Rogen’s The Studio.
He has spoken movingly in the past too about the death of Ryan Dunn, who died in a car crash in 2011. Ahead of the release of Jackass Forever, Knoxville called it crushing, adding that the cast are ‘still dealing with it and will be dealing with it the rest of [their] lives’.
Wee Man aka Jason Acuña, Christ Pontius, and Dave England

One of the most iconic members of the original show, Wee Man regularly appears on Steve-O’s podcast, as well as being a professional skateboarder and selling merch on his website.
Pontius meanwhile has moved to Norway and has posted on social media about learning the language. The Jackass star reposted Knoxville’s announcement indicating he is likely involved in the sequel in some capacity.
England also posted the same on his story, so seems to be involved and will sometimes post Jackass-like videos onto his Instagram and YouTube pages, as well as skateboarding and selling his photography work online.
