The creators of Stranger Things have issued a warning about the newest batch of episodes, in particular one episode directed by a film legend.
Stranger Things has become a huge Netflix hit, smashing records after it was watched for over eight billion minutes in its first week, breaking its own previous one-week streaming record set with season four.
Netflix is set to release volume two in just two days, late on Christmas Day evening US time and in the early hours of Boxing Day UK Time.
Volume two will see the next three episodes of the TV show’s final season, including the penultimate episode of the entire show.

While many fans are simply excited to pick up from the major cliffhangers set down at the end of volume one, Matt and Ross Duffer - the creative minds behind the show - have issued a warning about episodes five, six, and seven.
The three episodes will each be just over an hour as confirmed by Ross Duffer on his Instagram, with the finale set to be a whopping two hours and eight minutes.
Volume two will feature 'Shock Jock', clocking in at one hour and eight minutes, 'Escape from Camazotz', which will be one hour and fifteen minutes, and 'The Bridge', set to be one hour in six minutes.
Ross Duffer posted on his socials teasing each of the three episodes.
For 'Chapter Five: Shock Jock', he said: “Frank Darabont is back, but he flexes very different muscles on this one than he did on 'Turnbow Trap'. It's far darker, and far scarier.”
'Turnbow Trap' was the show’s third episode of season five, but many TV and film fans may be left with one simple question. “Wait... ‘that’ Frank Darabont?”

Many are unaware but this will mark the second episode of the season directed by the film legend, having previously directed The Shawshank Redemption, The Green Mile, as well as iconic episodes of The Shield and The Walking Dead.
The famed director came out of self-imposed retirement to direct the show, saying he was a massive fan and watched all the previous seasons with his wife, adding that it was 'the most fun he's ever had directing'.
Duffer’s promise however that the episode - picking up from episode four where Will was discovered to have powers, but Vecna succeeded in stealing eight more kids - will be ‘far darker’ is sure to worry fans about the fate of their favourites.

Regarding 'Chapter Six: Escape from Camazotz', Duffer said: “Directed by Shawn Levy. It's the biggest episode of the 3 - and the performances make us cry every time we watch it.”
Levy also has some big films to his name, including Deadpool & Wolverine and Night at the Museum.
Finally the co-showrunner said that 'Chapter Seven: The Bridge' would be ‘aside from the finale… probably the most emotional chapter of the season’.
Ross Duffer, speaking about the upcoming episodes, said that volume two would answer many unanswered mysteries in the show, saying: “This is something that has been planned for 10 years now, and it just now, obviously is the time to reveal it.”
Stranger Things season five volume two releases on Netflix December 25 at 5pm PST, 1am the following day in the UK.
