Tom Holland Stops Interview So He Can Watch Zendaya Walk Red Carpet At Spider-Man Premiere

The actor heard a roar and knew his other half had arrived

In case you weren't aware, Spider-Man 3 is set to hit our screens this week and the stars of the new film were out in full force for the US premiere of the long-awaited superhero flick.

But while Peter Parker himself, Tom Holland, was doing his bit and speaking to the press, he got a little distracted when his co-star and girlfriend Zendaya rocked up.

During an interview with Entertainment Tonight, the 25-year-old was talking about the movie and the incredible journey he has been on.

Tom Holland stopped the interview when he heard Zendaya arrive.

But just a couple of minutes in, Holland's attention is drawn to a huge roar from the crowd behind him, and he just knows who it's for.

Smiling, he tells the reporter: "I think Zendaya just showed up.

He then spins his head to have a look at what's going on, trying to see past the line of press and photographers waiting for their shot.

Holland says: "That sounds like Zendaya just showed up."

He and the reporter then try again to see if they can catch a glimpse of the actor, but Holland says, disappointedly: "Ah, she's gone in, she's gone in, she's gone in, she's gone in." You can take a look at the sweet moment below:

Prior to the distraction, the Brit star had talked about how amazed he is at how far the Spider-Man franchise has come and what a global phenomenon it is.

He told the outlet: "I honestly feel a little bit numb. This has been the most incredible experience. This whole journey from the day I got cast.

"My agent's here and we were just talking about the moment I got my first callback, and we thought, 'Oh, wow, maybe I could actually get this film.' And here we are promoting Spider-Man 3.

"I am blown away. To share it with my friends and my family. Honestly, this means the world."

Earlier this week, Holland revealed that he was pretty annoyed at people's obsession with his height and the fact he is shorter than Zendaya.

They both appeared on SiriusXM radio to promote Spider-Man: No Way Home and host Jessica Shaw pointed out how their two-inch height difference is obvious during one scene in particular.

The couple have had to answer questions about their height during promotion.

"Zendaya, I wanted to ask. And actually, and Tom, I wanted to ask you guys because in the first, in, in Far From Home when MJ and Peter kiss and Zendaya, you're taller than Tom and it became this, this thing," he said.

Holland took the question and said two inches really isn't that much of a difference and finds it strange when people ask whether it was difficult to do a kissing scene.

The British star added their height difference doesn't affect them personally and finds the assumption that men should be taller than their female partners 'ridiculous'.

"I remember when we were doing the Spider-Man screen tests, I mean - you'd have to ask [director] Jon Watts this question - but every girl that we tested for both roles was taller than me," he said.

"And I wonder whether Jon, that was a decision that Jon had made. There was, there was no one that tested that was shorter than I was.

To be fair - I am quite short. But, uh, but yeah, so maybe that was a decision Jon Watts made and something he was aware of and wanted to break the stereotype. I think it's great."
