The film will welcome back Kurt Russell and Goldie Hawn as Santa and Mrs Claus, respectively, and it will be released on 25 November - giving us plenty of time to know it off by heart for a big Christmas Eve.
The first instalment quickly became an unexpected Christmas classic, proving an instant hit with viewers.
In fact, the movie was so popular it seemed that a sequel was pretty inevitable. Still, nice to get the good news, isn't it? Bring on the close of 2020, we're ready for this film to end the year on a positive note.

If you weren't around for the first film, The Christmas Chronicles follows young siblings and 'true believers' Kate and Teddy Pierce, who attempt to capture Santa Claus (Kirk Russell) on Christmas Eve.
However, after their plan goes awry and they accidentally crash Santa's sleigh, the duo join forces with St Nick to get the presents delivered on time - although as you might expect, it isn't as easy as that.

The plot of the sequel, The Christmas Chronicles 2, will revisit Kate, who is now a disillusioned teenager, and her brother Teddy.
According to Netflix, this time around Kate is "unexpectedly reunited with Santa Claus when a mysterious, magical troublemaker named Belsnickel (played by Julian Dennison) threatens to destroy Christmas forever."

Back in 2018, The Christmas Chronicles (OG) had over 20 million views in its first week alone. According to Netflix's chief content officer Ted Sarandos, the festive flick was the 'most successful' movie of Russell's career.
Although Netflix traditionally doesn't release viewership figures, Sarandos revealed it'd had 20 million views across its first week at the UBS Global Media and Communications Conference, according to Business Insider.
He said: "If every one of those was a movie ticket purchase, that's a $200 million opening week. Even movies that go on to $1 billion don't typically do that in the first week."
As Netflix refuses to reveal official numbers, it's not known how many of those views were repeat viewings, but even taking that into consideration it's still a mind-blowing amount of folks tuning in.
