A private investigator who has caught all sorts of people cheating on their partners explained how there's a bit of a difference between the way men and women cheat.
That's not to say they don't both go behind their partner's backs and sleep with someone else, that part of cheating is fairly unisex, but instead how the signs of cheating manifest in their behaviour.
Cassie Crofts runs Australian 'dating background check' website Venus Investigations which offers vetting services for people you're dating and will investigate your suspicions about your partner to discover whether you're barking up the wrong tree, or they are.
She explained in a video that cheating signs tend to depend on who it is you suspect of going after someone they shouldn't.

"There are really different signs between when a woman's cheating, and when a man is," the private investigator said.

"When a man's cheating I'd say the signs are more physical, he's started working out, started wearing cologne, started cleaning out his car.
"When it's a woman it tends to be more emotional. They're suddenly happier, more content. You might hear them humming along to some of the happiest Taylor Swift songs."
Cassie, who says she's 'caught hundreds of cheaters' which is a damning indictment of people's respect for their own relationships if nothing else, spoke more in another video about how men cleaning their car could be a sign of cheating.
She said she picked up this clue from her mentor 'and since he mentioned it, I can't stop seeing it in so many cases'.
"There's something about the start of a new affair, new relationship that makes men want to have a pristine car," she explained, saying it was a clue if the man in your life was suddenly cleaning his car inside and out when he'd previously not been that interested in vacuuming the dirt out of the footwell.
Other private investigators have pointed this out as well, as private investigator Raymond Ranno said the clean car was partly to do with how the guy was planning on picking up the person he was cheating with.
He said: "If a guy's going to pick up his sweetie on the side, he wants a clean car.
"As soon as somebody goes to the car wash I think ‘Ha ha, what's next?’ It’s amazing how they do that."
According to him and his around 30 years in the PI business, men were typically the ones who drove around picking up their illicit affair partners, so the clean car would be to impress their date and it was 'very rare that I see a guy jump into a female's car'.
Some of the people he'd caught cheating were so brazen with their affairs that they even picked up the third person in their relationship 'on the same street' they lived on.
