Britain's 'most tattooed' woman gets 'mistaken for gang member' and is refused by bars

Britain's 'most tattooed' woman gets 'mistaken for gang member' and is refused by bars

Becky Holt says people are really divided on her body art

A woman dubbed the country's most inked mum says people sometimes think she's in a gang.

For years, Becky Holt, from Cheshire, has been adding to her body art, covering herself in dozens of tattoos.

All in all, the 34-year-old says that her dedication has cost her around £35,000, with pieces on her face, back, and even armpits.

But while she's proud of the way she looks, Becky says that some people aren't so keen on it, and have even mistaken her for a gang member.

Speaking to The Sun about the misconceptions that people can often have when they see her, she revealed that she receives lots of negativity and is sometimes refused entry to certain places.

"I have found that I'm rejected [from] places as well. Usually places abroad," Becky said. "I was in Turkey recently and my friend and I walked to a bar.

"We both have face tattoos and the place was empty but he said it was full and we couldn't come in.

"I've been to Texas and New York and rejected in places too. They think it's gang-related but it's not very often that happens."

Becky also once opened up on GB News about how trolls target her online.

She told the outlet that she just doesn't understand why people have such strong opinions about her tattoos.

"My family and friends love my tattoos - they're all really proud of me and think they're amazing," she said.

"I get quite a lot of backlash online. My followers think they're unreal but I get trolling.

"People tell me I've gone too far but it's my body. It's my life - I've made these choices. It doesn't bother me that you don't have tattoos, so why does it bother you that I do?"

And last year, Becky even took part in a social experiment, where she had all of her ink 'removed'.

Her tats were covered up by expert make-up artists in a bid to see how she was treated with and without the ink.

When she looked in the mirror afterwards, she laughed before saying: "Super weird, looks so strange. Oh my God, I look like a lady, I look like a woman."

Becky then went on to add: "I kind of feel like I've lost a little bit of confidence. I think my tattoos make me feel empowered and like I stand out from the crowd.

"I feel like I'm going to just merge into the crowd and I'm just going to look normal, like a normal person.

"I just feel like I'm not going to draw any attention to myself at all and I quite like attention."
