FBI Swat Team Seize Guns From Jake Paul's LA Mansion

The FBI have raided the LA mansion of YouTube star Jake Paul - seizing multiple firearms.

The search is said to be connected to a riot at an Arizona shopping mall, with the FBI telling ABC7: "The FBI is investigating allegations of criminal acts surrounding the incident at Scottsdale Fashion Square in May 2020."

According to reports another search warrant was also executed in Las Vegas but no arrests were planned.

According to his lawyer, the 23-year-old was not at home at the time of the raid, however a number of guns were carried out of the property.

Back in June, criminal trespass and unlawful assembly charges were filed against the YouTube star following a riot outside a mall in Phoenix, Arizona, but Paul said he was trying to find people protesting against the death of George Floyd.

Scottsdale Police, who were investigating the matter, dismissed the charged, saying: "It has been decided that in the cases charging Jake Paul, Arman Izadi and Andrew Leon it is in the best interest of the community to dismiss misdemeanour charges without prejudice so that a federal criminal investigation can be completed."

The raid comes weeks after Paul threw a party at the mansion, ignoring social distancing guidance in the middle of a worldwide pandemic.

Dozens of people could be seen drinking, with some playing beer pong, dancing, watching TV together and even messing around on a JCB in his yard.

But the lack of social distancing has caused the authorities to express their concern. With coronavirus cases still high at the time, Calabasas mayor Alicia Weintraub said she was considering 'all options' for punishing the YouTuber.

Speaking to ABC News, Mayor Weintraub said: "I was very upset that somebody would hold such an outrageous gathering in our community.

"We're trying to do everything we can to get our numbers down and keep our community safe, and something like this just does the opposite."

As reported by Fox11, she said: "They're having this large party, no social distancing, no masks, it's just a big huge disregard for everything that everybody is trying to do to get things back to functioning.

"It's really just a party acting like Covid does not exist, it's acting that businesses aren't closed."
