Hollywood seems to be going through a bit of hygiene hysteria, with stars coming out and discussing their various bathroom routines.
And Matthew McConaughey's cleanliness has once again been put under the microscope.
The 51-year-old famously revealed a few years ago that he hadn't ever really used deodorant.
According to reports, the actor's Fool's Gold co-star Kate Hudson even asked him to spritz himself while they were filming.
He told Playboy about the shoot back in 2008, saying: "She [Hudson] always brings a salt rock, which is some natural deodorant, and says, 'Would you please put this on?'
"I just never wore it. No cologne, no deodorant.
"The women in my life, including my mother, have all said, 'Hey, your natural smell smells, one, like a man, and, two, smells like you."
He also previously told People magazine back in 2005 that he hadn't 'worn deodorant in 20 years'.
But while you might think decades of not using sprays or aftershaves might leave a person smelling a bit dodgy, it seems you'd be wrong.
According to his Tropic Thunder co-star Yvette Nicole Brown, McConaughey smells absolutely delightful.
Speaking on SiriusXM last week, she recalled: "I remember that Matthew McConaughey said that he did not use deodorant and that he didn't have an odor.
"So my first thought was, 'I'm going to get as close as I can to him to see if he's right'.
"He does not have an odour. He smells like granola and good living. He has a sweet, sweet scent. That is just him, and it's not musty or crazy."
This comes after the likes of Mila Kunis and Ashton Kutcher revealed that they only wash their children when they can 'see the dirt on them'.
Whilst appearing on Dax Shepard's Armchair Expert podcast, the pair revealed they've passed on their own bathing habits to their kids, six-year-old Wyatt and four-year-old Dimitri.
Kunis told host Shepard: "I didn't have hot water growing up as a child, so I didn't shower much anyway.
"But when I had children, I also didn't wash them every day. I wasn't that parent that bathed my newborns - ever."
Kutcher added that on a daily basis, he just uses soap and water on just his 'armpits and crotch' and 'nothing else'.
You might be thinking - but what about after a big sweaty workout?
Well, the former Two and a Half Men actor explained: "I do have a tendency to throw some water on my face after a workout to get all the salts out."
