People do all kinds of things to spice up their love life, but one couple's sexy escapes landed them in the emergency room when they tried to have sex while skydiving. It's sounds almost too ridiculous to be true, but it is.

Regaling their tale on TLC's Sex Sent Me To ER, William and Leslie opened up about how they tried to commit to a bonk thousands of feet up in the air.

William said: "I'm an adrenaline junkie and she's an adrenaline junkie in training and she loves it and I love it."

And Leslie thought it would be a great idea, and not incredibly dangerous, to suggest marrying their passion with a bit of nookie.

Leslie told the programme: "As far as sex goes, I'm very, very sexually active. William can just look at me and honey, I'm just bam. It's gotta be on.

"When it comes to sex, I come up with all the ideas. I come up with a lot of different ways to try to have sex."

William says: "She knows better than to throw a challenge at me. She knows her desire immediately becomes my desire to fulfil it."

As you can probably imagine, this was not one of Leslie's better ideas.

Leslie says: "Since we were both wearing really baggy shorts, I just figured we could just connect without a hassle."

"We're having sex, we're making love," William says.

In a re-enactment of that fateful day, the ambitious couple become entwined in the air. And despite neither seemingly worried about how fast they are falling or close they are getting to the ground, they eventually realise that they need to stop.

After pulling Leslie's parachute, William struggles to get his out, breaking his nose as he does.

Upon landing, Leslie says: "When I seen him on the ground, first thought that went through my head was, like, he's dead."

William said: "The very first pain is in my groin and on my left leg. So not only might I be done skydiving, I might be done pleasing my woman."

After bunging a couple of tampons up his nose to stem the bleeding, William and Leslie rushed to the hospital to get his war wounds seen to.

Luckily for them both, it wasn't as serious as they had feared, with William's manhood still intact despite the ballsy manoeuvre.

William said: "Once he tells her that the little buddy's ok, he's just gonna need some rest, that was a big relief for me."
