TikTok users have been left terrified by a creepy demonic figure found lurking under a bridge on Google Maps.

The video, posted by the TikTok account @hidden.on.google.earth, shows a user zooming in on a highway bridge in New York using Google Earth. As they switch to street view and venture under the bridge, a white face with no eyes appears.

The video, titled 'Pennywise????' (giving reference to the creepy clown-like character from IT) has gone viral, with 2,500 shares and more than 72,000 likes.

You can see for yourself in the video player below... if you dare.

This foreboding face was found in Ithaca, New York under a highway bridge along the Cayuga Waterfront Trail.

"Is this real? I'm scared," one user commented.

"Umm I'm never going to use a bridge again," another creeped out TikToker said.

"Yo that's my grandpa, I've been searching for him for days. Thanks man," one user said jokingly, which garnered more than 230 likes.

"This is my sister when she doesn't have makeup on," another joked.

"Looks more like the joker," said another.

Meanwhile, other users started to speculate about what it really is under there.

One person suggested the face could be graffiti art, while another said it's just the bolts of the bridge.

Somebody else tried to give a psychological explanation and said: "I think it's pareidolia (it's the ability to recognise familiar shapes or faces where there aren't any)."

Whatever IT is (see what we did there), we've got the chills.

The account which posted this video is known for spotting weird, funny and creepy things on Google Maps software. And these kind of discoveries are very popular with people, as the account now has nearly five-million followers.

When it's not creepy clown/demonic entities under bridges, it's UFO sightings, people having sex on roadsides, or hidden military bases in the desert.

Lots of people are also keen to find out how they can travel the world as a Google Maps driver.

But aside from all of the crazy happenings on the software, we've heard Google Maps is actually pretty useful for finding your way somewhere - who would have thought!
