Cute Cat Alberto Sports Perfect Hercule Poirot Moustache

While facial hair goes in and out of fashion on fellas, I think we can all agree that when it's on animals it is always good.
And so, to Mexico and two-year old cat Alberto, who has a rather impressive 'tash that makes him look a bit like fictional detective Hercule Poirot... or my old music teacher Mr Johnson, depending on your frame of reference.

Adorable Alberto lives with Claudia Alba Machado, 27, a doctor who decided she wanted to get herself a cat for some company.
Claudia said: "I started living alone a couple of years ago and my friend saw that I was a little bit sad and lonely and decided to get me a cat.
"He thought that a cat would be easier to take care of than a dog.
"His sister had a cat and when she gave birth, my friend asked me if I wanted a kitten - of course I said 'yes', and I told him to choose one for me.

"The next day he called me and said, 'I got you a cat with a moustache' and I was shocked - I thought it was going to be an ugly one."
An ugly cat? Please, Claudia, wash your mouth out.
Alberto - like all cats - is beautiful, even more so thanks to his unique markings which grab people's attention, according to Claudia.
She added: "Everyone finds it very entertaining - when I tell people I have a cat with a moustache, they tell me all cats do.
"When they see him, they can't believe it and tell me 'he really has a moustache'."

He sure does.
Of course, having a cat that resembles a dignified gentleman means that you can't just give him any old name - this distinguished kitty could never be a Tiddles or a Socks.
Claudia said: "I named him 'Alberto' because I couldn't give him a typical cat name. I had to find something that suits him.
"Alberto likes playing, sleeping and [can be] affectionate - whenever he's in the mood.
"He is the ideal company for me, we have similar personality and we understand each other."
Sounds like the purrfect friendship (sorry).
