Birds can sometimes be absolute nightmares to deal with. Whether you're trying to enjoy yourself at the beach, a stroll through the park or just spending some time outdoors, birds can ruin your day nearly instantly.

But spare a thought for a woman in the UK who is distraught after a seagull flew off with her goddamn pet dog.

You're probably wondering how a seagull managed to make off with a dog but you should know that it was a Chihuahua that was stolen in this brazen daylight robbery.

Becca Louise Hill

The four-year-old pooch known as Gizmo was just chilling in Becca Hill's backyard in Devon, England when she says a seagull swooped down and grabbed the dog with its beak and flew off.

Speaking to Devon Live, the 24-year-old said she and her partner are devastated: "It carried Gizmo a fair way as we couldn't see him anymore. I have no idea if he was dropped or where he is now."

Becca has issued an appeal on social media, hoping anyone will have information about where her beloved pet is.

"Please, please, please, anyone finds a chihuahua he's mine, a seagull took him from my garden," she begged on Facebook.

"Have a really upset 6 year old missing her dog."

Now, if you're reading this and suddenly worrying about your pet's safety outdoors then please be wary, this isn't a normal thing from these beach-dwelling birds.

Why seagull, why?

The RSPCA has told the Sun: "Our hearts go out to Gizmo's family and we hope he is found soon and is OK.

"This must be extremely upsetting for the dog's owner.

"Fortunately these types of incidents are very rare and not typical gull behaviour."

Apparently a seagull attacked a Jack Russell in 2015 in the Port of Dover, before the bird tried to take flight with the dog and failed.
