Man Leaves £5 On Ambulance Windscreen To Thank Paramedics

The note placed on the ambulance read: 'Thank you for blocking my drive to save a life, refreshments on me.' Fair enough

Paramedics seem to have had a lot of stick in recent months. And what for, exactly? Saving all those lives? I mean, how dare they do such a thing?

One ambulance was given a parking ticket after they went to get a bottle of water during their first break in eight hours, then there were the paramedics that had bricks, glass and tables pelted at them.

Is it just us or does anyone else have no idea what is going on here?! God forbid any of them if they ever needed a paramedic. Like the woman who left an angry note on an ambulance windscreen, for instance.

Well now, a refreshingly positive note has been left on an ambulance and people are loving it.

According to the Metro, the thank you note was left on a vehicle in Wales and had £5 attached to it.

The message was from a homeowner who was blocked in and, instead of the moaning, whining and completely unnecessary notes we've seen in recent months, this one was left in praise of the staff for 'saving a life'.

Twitter user Dewi Lloyd tweeted the note, with the caption: "Heart warming note left on one of the Flintshire Ambulances."

The note read: "Thank you for blocking my driveway to save a life. Refreshments on me." What a LAD.

After being posted on Wednesday, the tweet has gone viral, gaining over 1,250 likes and 350 retweets.

And now, in turn, people have praised the act of kindness - because it's nice to be nice, guys.

One social media user wrote: "Really makes me proud, you all do such an amazing job!"

Another added: "That's more like it! Well done owner of said driveway!" And a third commented: "Brilliant, love the idea, well done to the person who did the deed!"

A spokesperson from the Welsh Ambulance Service responded to the tweet saying: "Such a boost for our hardworking crews when they get a heartfelt thank you note for doing a tough job.

"No financial incentive required! They are just dedicated. Thank you, anonymous author."

Well done to the owner of the blocked driveway and well done to Dewi Lloyd for raising awareness - but mostly, thank you to our ambulance services.
