For some, flirting is an illusive art form: what do you ask, how do you stand, is 'I like your teeth' a weird compliment?
Brazilian Marcos Jeeves (no, not his real name, obviously) has been told since he was a teen that he looks like The Matrix star and the likeness has made life easy for him as a single man.
When asked by GQ if being Reeves' doppelganger had helped him flirt, he said: "Yes, I am single and looking like Keanu Reeves really helps me.
"Some women come to praise me in the comments on my Instagram photos. But I always maintain a respect and do not use the fact of looking like him to take advantage of any situation, including my followers."
So no need to worry about any Dangerous Liaisons with Marcos.
The 49-year-old, from Rio de Janeiro, was first made aware of his lookalike status by a friend more than 30 years ago and their likeness appears to have only grown stronger as the years have passed.
Marcos said: "A friend of mine from high school, after watching Point Break, spoke about how it had an actor in the film very similar to me and recommended that I watch the film.
"Then my admiration for him began."
But despite posting videos on his Instagram and TikTok accounts in which he mimics famous characters played by the 55-year-old actor, he doesn't actually do events as Reeves and is in fact pursuing his own career in the film industry.
He said: "With all the visibility that social networks are giving me, I am finally managing to fulfil one of my greatest professional desires which is to work as an actor.
"I was invited by Flavio Marroso to participate in the film Tiro Certo - Rio em Chamas, with script and direction by Roger Davill. It will be very important for my professional growth to be in a film that features Claudio Mascarenhas, Cláudia Alencar, Therla Duarte and a great cast.
"I would like to take advantage of the space to thank my followers who are being very affectionate with me and giving me full support. Without them, that moment so special that I live today would not be happening."
