Dad Builds Son Massive Wooden Train With Working Steam Engine
A dad has utilised some impressive DIY skills to build a massive and quite frankly dangerous-looking wooden train with a working steam engine for his son.
Warren Golding decided to devote some time over the festive period to building his train-obsessed four-year-old Jessy the unusual garden feature.
The 35-year-old, from Deal, Kent, UK, spent about three days in total constructing it - with help from Jessy and his seven-year-old brother Wyatt. It was built using recycled wood in the main, meaning he only had to spend about £100 ($130) in total on the decking, and the result is undeniably impressive.
But don't let the garden train make you feel s**t about yourself because you can barely put up a shelf, as Warren is a builder by trade, and therefore far more qualified to construct a garden train than most.
Explaining why and how he built the Plying Scotsman (my name not his), Warren told LADbible: "My boy Jessy is four and he is obsessed with trains. I also have another son Wyatt who is 7 who's not in the video. So I decided to build a playhouse with a train theme for them both.
"I picked up some secondhand railway tracks and most of the wood used is recycled. I used old pallets as the base, cable drums as wheels and old beams from a house I'm renovating at work for sleepers.
"It took about three days to build with the boys' help. Kept us busy over Christmas time off."

But if you're looking at the creation and thinking, 'doesn't wood plus fire equal, well, more fire?' - fear not, Warren took precautionary measures.
He said: "The chimney is metal-lined so all safe. The kids love it. The train itself is solid, I went overkill on it so they can climb all over it if they want."
But while the kids may love it, they now want their old man to build more things for them to play with, as tends to be the way, and it sounds like Warren will be kept busy with a few expansion projects.
He said: "Both boys Jessy and Wyatt want carriages added now so that will be next job. I'll maybe make one a playhouse and the other a sandpit.
"I'll be adding a station-themed play area at the back as well eventually."
Sounds like work might feel like time off before too long if Warren's not careful, 400 dad points though for the effort.
