One of the greatest curses about the rise of social media is the fact that your friends now have a platform on which to post pictures of you making a fool of yourself while drunk.
While most of us dread the thought of these pictures making their way to our friends' feeds, one guy has created an Instagram account dedicated entirely to posting embarrassing drunken pictures of himself passed out.
Ainars Janis Pauls, 28 - who clearly has no shame in his pals (and now the world) seeing him at his most wasted - decided to create the account after his mates threatened to post an intoxicated snap of him online.
In a bid to beat them to it, Ainars took control of the situation by posting the picture on his Insta page @just_one_drink_. The account now has nearly 1,500 followers.
The freelance translator from Riga, Latvia, said: "I took all the power from my friends and showed my own little oopsies with pride."
As well as taking the power back from his friends, Ainars also did it to show his girlfriend he can be 'creative' if he puts his mind to it.
He added: "My girlfriend told me to get a hobby instead of drinking, so now I am focusing on this art!"
When she said to get 'a hobby instead of drinking', I'm not sure this is what she had in mind.
Regardless, since November Ainars has created quite the collection of snaps, showing him passed out in all sorts of situations, from benches and parks, to train stations and toilets - there's even one of him being carried out by security guards.
Ainars' followers seem to love the photos, with one user comically commenting on one of his snaps: "Beauty sleep?"
Another wrote: "I sort of feel guilty laughing at this, but I'll push through."
Although he originally claimed that all his photos were real and not staged, Ainars changed his mind when he said: "Well, honestly, I'm only genuinely passed out in five photos, but to keep the intrigue I won't reveal which ones."
Real or not, Ainars has shown how to turn one bad hangover into a bit of a laugh.
It's never fun having your drunken state plastered all over the internet - just ask this groom, who was left red-faced when a video went viral of him so smashed, he had to be fed by his mother-in-law.
Bet that was a fun honeymoon.Featured Image Credit: Jam Press
