Groom Gets So Smashed At Wedding His Mother-In-Law Has To Feed Him

Your wedding day is supposed to be one of the most memorable days of your life.
However, the occasion is also packed with nerves and exuberance, which can lead to plenty of drinking... which can in turn make these precious memories a little hazy.
One groom in Scotland found this out the hard way, getting so smashed that he had to be hand fed by his mother-in-law.
A video from the wedding shows him looking extremely worse for wear as his seemingly unimpressed mother-in-law shoves food into his mouth.
But while the footage might lead you to conclude that the wedding was a total disaster, this was far from the case. Despite evidently being a 'total mess' at this stage, the ceremony and the speeches all went smoothly and - with assistance from his best man - he was able to make a miraculous recovery and dance until the very end of the night.
Speaking to LADbible, he said: "I had a few beers and glasses of fizz before this but I think a big factor for the drunkenness was the emotion from the day. I had just completed my speech and everything hit me.
"The woman feeding me is my mother-in-law who is the best mother-in-law in the world. Before the video I got married but was in good shape, during the ceremony which we spoke our own vows. After the ceremony we had about two hours of free booze and it was fairly hot for Scotland with the sun shining on us at our amazing wedding location."
Having inadvertently become completely bladdered, the groom was nursed back to fine fettle thanks to some 'tough love' from his nearest and dearest.
Terry said: "My best man was feeding me and making drink a lot of water. This wasn't working so they started to give me tough love, slapping me in the face pretty damn hard, I was going into the land of sleep but they persisted to slap me and splash water in my face and after 20 to 30 minutes I somehow miraculously woke up.
"From here I needed a little bit of alone time and I started to walk up a hill but was talked around by one of pals and then proceeded back to the wedding venue to continue to eat and only drink water till the food was finished."
He continued: "How I made a recovery was down to my best man, usher and my wife, who by the way is my best friend in this world. When I returned I was able to make a full recovery, danced my first dance with my new wife and cut our wedding cake - which was actually tequila shots in the shape of a cake (had about 10 of them). I greeted all the evening guests and was able to dance the night away till the very end."
Better still, with the wedding day being salvaged from the brink of drunken oblivion, the groom said his wife has been able to see the funny side of it all.
He said: "The video is highly embarrassing as this is not the way you should be at your wedding day during the speeches, but we love to laugh at each other's stupidness. With this situation you could understand that she may have been upset as I was a total mess, but due to me making a comeback she has seen the funny side to the video."
Hats off to the bride and groom and the greatest comeback since Barcelona's 6-5 aggregate victory over PSG in the Champions League in 2017.
