Man Orders Cheesy Chips At Wetherspoon And Is Left 'Raging'

Cheesy Chips. We all know how great they are, so we can all sympathise with one guy whose order of everyone's favourite potato dish, slathered in the good stuff, turned out to be... well, somewhat less than he'd hoped for.

But first, just so we can fully appreciate the gravitas of the situation, let's consider just how great they are. Two words, two feelings: love and understanding. They know you're tired and ready to go home, so much so they're willing to take the taxi journey with you.

They know you're really drunk and feeling funky - they're giving you stodge to stop you throwing up your last pint. They're good on their own, or with red sauce, and some even like them with gravy. They can be a main, a snack or a side. They're versatile motherfuckers.

But they have to be right, the cheese needs to be melted. It needs to be proportionate and if they're messed up, they're messed up and there's no salvaging them.

This is something 20-year-old Angus Scott knows all too well about because he claims to have been served a single slice of cheese on his meal at Wetherspoon.

The University of Dundee student was at the popular pub chain in Edinburgh Airport when he says he received the bizarre serving.

Angus Scott is adamant that this is the meal he was served.

He was so disgusted that he took to Twitter to vent. His tweet has racked up nearly 26,000 likes and 3,500 retweets from people far and wide.

Not everyone is convinced by the picture - some (obviously Wetherspoon connoisseurs) commented that the plate wasn't even one that they serve meals on. Meanwhile, others simply shared their own tales of disaster.

Responding to the doubters, Angus told LADbible: "It was Edinburgh Airport so how could I smuggle in cheese to frame it?"

Some people claimed to have also been left disappointed.

In attempt to call him out, one person wrote on Twitter: "Not even a Wetherspoons plate !! Another kid lying trying to be hard".

Another added: "Hi Angus, which wetherspoons did this not happen in please".

And a third said: "Twitter has reached the stage where people are taking slices of cheese to the pub with them in order to gain RTs."

LADbible has reached out to Wetherspoon for comment. The company has declined to comment to other news sources.
