Couple Turn Their Ordinary Essex House Into A Dream Family Home
Mum-of-three Kayleigh and her husband Lee bought the house back in 2017 and set about transforming it from the ordinary to the extraordinary - after they acquired the necessary planning permission, of course.
Now, there's a two-storey extension out the back of the house, another extension connecting the kitchen, garage and outbuilding, and a whole heap of incredibly well thought-out interior design to go with it.
A year after they got their hands on the keys, they moved into the house.
The pair eventually began documenting their home improvement journey on their Instagram account (@newroad_newproject) and they've quickly amassed over 33k followers who are all interested in what they're planning next.
Kayleigh told Tyla: "We got our keys 3 years ago on 7th July 2017.
"Following planning being passed, we started digging the footings in November 2017.
"8 months later, and unintentionally on this date, we moved in on 7th July 2018.
"So, it was amazing to be moving in exactly a year after getting our keys."
The final effect is pretty mind blowing. It gets even more impressive when you realise that they did all of this with three young children in tow.
She added: "Our youngest was just 4 weeks old when we moved! Not quite sure how we did it!"

Yeah, that's some pretty good going.
She continued: "We did a side two storey extension, rear extension (part two storey) and we connected up the ground floor extension (kitchen) to the garage and outbuilding.
"This gave us a great L-shaped kitchen and family room."
"We also relocated the stairs to give a spacious hallway, it also meant giving us better sized and shaped rooms upstairs.
"The house was a standard 1920s house, and we gained the large family room, study, utility, playroom, a fourth bedroom and an en suite.
"We did a lot ourselves, well not actually me, but my husband and my dad.
"With most trades, the people we used were friends."
It sounds like it's been a slog, but eventually their hard work has paid off.
Kayleigh concluded: "We loved the whole experience, and so glad I took so many photos to look back on."
Fair play, they've done a proper job on it. It can't have been easy for a lot of the time, but you can bet they're reaping the benefits now that it's all finished.
They've even got a fire pit out in the back.
