It's easy to convince yourself that the world is a pretty bad place, but then you see an Aussie builder offer to pay for an old man's McDonald's lunch after he struggled to count his money and realise that it's not all totally terrible.
In the heart-warming clip shared to Facebook, the builder, who is appropriately named Dave Love, offers to pay for the pensioner's meal alongside his own order - a coffee.

The footage was secretly filmed by Dave's partner Melanie Langley, who proudly posted it alongside the caption: "STOP SCROLLING, this WILL make your day, I was in tears. This man melts my heart. I had no idea what he was up to as he ordered his morning coffee but quickly realised and couldn't not video this incredible act of kindness.
"Your true character is revealed when nobody's watching
"Oh and you wouldn't believe it, his surname is LOVE. He bought this old man's coffee, breakfast and gave him $20.
"Oh and I told him I wasn't videoing as he would've made me turn it off."

During their brief exchange at the Maccie's counter, Dave offers to pay for the man's food, who tells him: "There's still some nice people here."
As he puts the change back in his pocket, Dave jokingly tells the man: "That's going to weigh you down now!"
And if that's not heart-warming enough for you, the kind builder then hands the man a $20 note and tells him: "That's for your next coffee."

The elderly gentleman initially refuses but after some insistence from Dave pockets it tells him: "Thank you very much...you're a gentleman, thank you."
Lovely Dave Love then heads back to his partner - who unbeknownst to him has been filming the whole thing - who then asks him what he had done.
"I'm helping the old fella out," Dave tells her. "He's down on his 20 bucks.

"He's standing there with a whole heap of change. He's a pensioner and he's old, so I paid for his meal and I gave him $20. It is what it is, honey, it's life."

Lovely that, isn't it? Let's all be a bit more Dave today, eh?
