You Can Stay In A Fully-Functioning Pub For Just £17 Per Person Per Night

If you're looking for a lovely weekend away once all of this horrible business is at an end, you could do worse than looking into a nice relaxing stay at The Poachers Arms in the Peak District.

You truly could sit back and relax actually as it's a fully-functioning, yet completely private, pub that you can rent out with your pals for a stay from just £17 per person per night.

Located in Hope, near to Castleton, the pub used to be open to regular punters, but is now only open to those who rent it out.

It's got everything you might want - a fully functioning bar, a garden, a patio, a bar, a play area, a hot tub, dancefloor, a bar.

Did we mention that there's a bar in there, as well?

If you want to kick back and relax, as well as the hot tub there is also a games room that has video games consoles and table football.

Every double room in the place has it's own en-suite bathroom, and it can sleep up to 30 people at a time.

Obviously, you'll have to wait until the restrictions have properly listed before you can stay anywhere with 30 people, unless you're from a seriously massive household, but it's worth checking out in advance if you fancy a properly fun weekend break this summer.

At dinner time, you can all enjoy a meal in the huge stone-walled dining room, featuring a massive wooden table.

Now, onto the important stuff.

As we might have said, this is a working pub that you can hire out and be the only punters in there all evening.

If you want to pull your own pints, you can do so for the princely sum of £2 per jar.

Alternatively, you can hire staff to serve you for the evening as well.

If you wanted to stay for the full week, that would set you back £3,674 ($5,163).

As we've told you, that's just £17 ($23) for each person per night if you have a party of 30.

TripAdvisor reviews show that most of the people who've visited were made up with their experience.

One commented: "It's a strange feeling that you are somewhere familiar, a pub with all the features of a pub, but then it feels like a permanent lock in.

"Features - 9 double rooms with bathrooms. Clean and tidy."

"Well equipped kitchen with lots of space to move about, two cookers, two microwaves, a hot water boiler, 2 dishwashers; and they were needed as we seemed to run out plates rather quickly.

"There is a hot tub, and a conservatory which we used as both a large dining area and the dance floor, for the birthday party."

OK, so bring some plates.

Another said: "Our week here was absolutely amazing and we didn't want to go home.

"The kitchen was big and had excellent facilities, we had a big roast dinner on Sunday which we ate in the huge conservatory.

"The hot tub was used all week by all of us, not sure if it was the kids or adults that enjoyed it the most!

"The teenagers enjoyed the pool table and football table and also the outdoor table tennis got used a lot as the weather was amazing."

"The bar was fantastic, we filled the fridges with drinks and shelves with snacks. The kids and adults enjoyed being behind the bar serving each other (non-alcoholic for the kids lol).

"Some evenings were spent in the comfy lounge area or around the breakfast bar in the kitchen playing card games.

"This self-catering holiday home is perfect for large groups who want to explore the beautiful countryside. We would definitely go back again."
