Crazy truth behind ‘world’s most identical twins’ who share same partner

Anna and Lucy DeCinque have been on a mission to be totally identical for some time

Twin sisters who have tried to become the ‘most identical in the world’ have revealed the truth about their lives.

There are no two people on Earth who are perhaps quite so dedicated to looking like each other as the DeCinque sisters.

The pair, who found fame on TLC’s Extreme Sisters, have opened up about their reality of being attached by the hip (metaphorically), as well as going to extreme lengths to look and act like one entity.

Not only do Anna and Lucy speak at the same time, but they also eat the same thing and the same amount, go to the toilet together, and share a man.

The Australian sisters have been dating electrician Ben Byrne, who is also a twin, for over 10 years now.

"Sharing a boyfriend for us means we get to be together all the time," Anna said on the show.

"Having separate boyfriends just didn’t work, they just wanted to separate us."

It’s not a setup you’d expect to see between two sisters, but it’s the one that works for them.

However, there are some ground rules in place.

The pair revealed that they fell for Ben after they ‘kissed him at the same time’, and implemented an equal loving relationship so there’s no jealousy.

They said they are ‘treated equally’ and that Ben will ‘never kiss Anna and not Lucy’.

When on Hughesy, We Have a Problem, the twins were asked if they all share an oversized bed to fit them all on during intimate moments, to which they admitted: "Yes, and that's it, that's all we're saying, we're never apart."

However, there have been some hiccups in their plans to be identical in every way.

For example, due to Australian laws, all three are considered polygamous, and polygamy - the act of marrying several people - is illegal.

So, they can’t marry Ben.

The pair said on the TLC show: "We would like to marry him one day but the law in Australia says we can’t, so what do we do?"

"If we can change the law and the government, we’d love to marry Ben," added Anna. "I mean love is love, we’re all adults. We should marry the same man."

Then, when it comes to having children, the pair have looked into IVF to ensure they can get pregnant at the same time, but if they wanted to go the natural route, they admit they recognise ‘there’s a lot of pressure on Ben’.

Anna and Lucy continue to share updates on their lives across their Instagram and TikTok channels.
