My 3000lb Family star who bathed in outdoor trough is unrecognisable after 41st weight loss

My 3000lb Family star who bathed in outdoor trough is unrecognisable after 41st weight loss

He overhauled his life after appearing on the show

A man who appeared on the reality show My 3000lb Family managed to drop more than half his body weight and looks like a whole new person.

Casey King weighed in at more than 317kg (50st/700lbs) when he appeared on the TLC reality show alongside his family.

King’s weight had become such a problem that he was forced to bathe in a trough in his garden, having become too big to use the conventional tub or shower.

On the show, King said: “Because I’m a bigger guy with, like, folds and flaps, I have to move around almost like a pig in a way, wallow, and roll over to get the back of my legs. I have to lift up literal pieces of skin. It’s just a seriously difficult process.”

King also revealed that his supersize meant he struggled to find clothes that fit him, so would often sit around naked playing video games.

During a frank confession to the camera, King admitted: “I never thought that at 34 I’d be living with my father and I’d have no job, have no real money and just be playing video games all day and eating.”

He also feared he would eat until he died.

However, since appearing on the show, King has managed to completely overhaul his life and has lost a whopping 262kg (41.3st/579lbs).

To get in shape, King underwent an operation that saw part of his stomach removed as well as sticking to a new diet and exercise regime.

King has since lost more than 200kg.

King regularly shares photos of his newly trimmed-down physique on Instagram, in a post earlier this year he wrote: “Been a good 2022 and I hope to have a better 2023. Many resolutions and many plans for the future.

“These pictures represent the good and the bad moments of the year. It’s been a ride for sure, I’m glad I’m here to experience it all and have the opportunity to continue making memories with my friends and family.

I love you all, I hope your 2023 is 100 times better than your 2022.”

He’s been praised for his incredible weight loss.

King has been flooded with messages of support and praise for his lifestyle change, with one fan posting: “Fantastic work lad! Rather than crying about your situation, you’ve bettered it through discipline and hard work. There's nothing us humans can't do if we put our minds to it.”

Another wrote: “Your weight loss is truly wild. You don’t see this many drastic transformations. It must have been a lot of work and very emotional.”

While someone else said: “After conquering an incredible weight loss journey I'm absolute positive you can do anything you set your mind to.”
