Naked cleaner who earns £50 an hour admits clients can push things too far

Lottie Rae has shared some of the awkward encounters she's had with clients but insists most of them aren't 'creepy'

A woman who works as a naked cleaner has admitted that clients can ‘push things too far’.

Lottie Rae, 32, who earns £50 an hour for her services which she started doing in 2017, estimates that her unusual job has helped her make a few thousand pounds over the years.

She has met ‘all sorts of people’ and while most of her clients are friendly, some have other ideas.

“One time a guy put porn on his TV and I had to say no,” Rae recalled. “The people who are slightly creepier tend to have perfectly clean houses so it’s kind of an indicator.”

Lottie Rae said some clients expect 'something else'.

Another client, who had a filthy house, didn’t want Rae to clean his property when she arrived as he was looking for something slightly different.

“One of my clients I cleaned for three times altogether, and his house was the dirtiest house I’ve ever come across in my life, teeming with dirt and grime,” Rae said.

"But when I got there he didn’t want me to clean it at all.

“He wasn’t creepy or pervy, he just wanted some company.”

Rae revealed the indicator that someone might be a 'creep'.

Rae’s friends know about her job and she shares anecdotes on her Instagram account, @musings_from_a_naked_cleaner. Her partner is okay with her job, while her pals and relatives are less so. “My friends and family know what I do, but I think they wonder why I do it,” she shared. "They think all these men are weird and creepy but in general they’re nice people.”

Though most of her clients are respectful, others expect more than shiny floors and clean kitchens at the end of her shift. “There’s a fair few people who are creepy – a handful of the guys I clean for book cleaners on the premise they will get something else.

“I’m clear I’m there just to clean but they’ll say that other cleaners have been strippers or given massages.

Rae, who tried her hand at selling secondhand clothes, describes herself as a ‘free spirit’ who loves being naked.

“I’m always looking for ways to make extra money and I quite like being naked, so I thought ‘okay, I’ll try it’,” she shared.

“The money has definitely helped. I wouldn’t do it if I wasn’t being paid the financial incentive.”

Some of Rae's clients are younger men.

Contrary to popular belief, it’s not just old men who hire naked cleaners. Rae said she’s worked for plenty of younger men – some of whom eventually get their kit off as well.

“I’ve cleaned for some younger guys who seem more sociable, they’re out and about and just have disposable income and want to try something different.

“Another guy I’ve worked with [for the whole six years] is a nudist, so to him it’s right up his street.

“He’s already naked when I get in, we have a coffee and I play with his dog and then get to work.

“The clients will get naked as well – a few of them are quite nervous at first and keep their clothes on until they’re confident enough to take them off."
