We've all had an online shopping fail, so have some sympathy for this dad over in Merseyside who decided to buy an inflatable Father Christmas to spruce up his house for the festive season. Little did he realise that it would be the size of his house!
Nightclub owner Matty James had his neighbours in hysterics when the supposed '8ft' Santa arrived, only for it to turn out to be a 25ft blow-up beast that towers over his home.

Speaking about the amusing gaffe, he said: "I ordered it a month ago off eBay but didn't realise it would be massive or as high as my house.
"I thought it would be about 8ft tall but only realised it was much bigger than that when I laid it all out.
"I remember thinking it looked weird and then all of a sudden, once I started putting the air in it, it kept growing and growing. I did wonder if it was ever going to stop.
"I'm known in the street for doing wacky things and when the neighbours came out they were all laughing their heads off, everyone was in hysterics."
Seeing the funny side in the situation, Matty was thinking of keeping the sizeable St. Nick up for the holidays, but as well as blocking his living room and bedroom windows, he also feared the inflatable might 'take off' due to blustery weather conditions.

He continued: "I took it down on Sunday night because there was a storm and it was very windy. Southport's near the coast - I didn't want my house being taken into the sky by this giant Santa.
"When I woke up in the morning I looked out and his head would eclipse the window. Downstairs in the front room, when you opened the curtains, there was a big Santa bum in your face.
"At Halloween I had some inflatable zombies so I thought I'd just do that for Christmas. It's easy, you just blow it up and it's done. I just wasn't expecting it to be massive and as high as my house."
Although his eBay fail turned out to be a bit of a hazard, Matty's hoping to get the festive fixture up again once the weather settles down.

One thing's for sure, Santa and his magical reindeer certainly wouldn't miss his house with that thing in front of it - although he might need to install an entry sign to the chimney for safe measure.
